New Biodegradable Beach Toys by Zoë b Organic. The world’s first biodegradable beach toy set. Zoë b Beach Toys are made with a biobased material that comes from corn sugar. Specifically, this bioplastic from Mirel™ is made with PHA, a polymer produced by microbial fermentation of sugar. Because it’s made by microbes, it’s biodegradable in microbial environments, including natural soil and water, home composting systems, and industrial composting facilities— where these facilities are available. In short, if and when you no longer want to use your beach toys, you can dispose of the beach toys in your backyard compost, and in about two years, they’ll biodegrade and fully return to nature.
